DuFief Elementary, MCPS
On January 20, 2003, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Day, over thirty DuFief families went to visit Shady Grove Nursing Home. The ninety minute program included group and solo performances. Students and their parents led a brief sing-along with the residents.

Students presented their individual talents for everyone's enjoyment. Following the program, students gave beautiful homemade cards to the residents. Near the end of the visit, students, parents and residents made bookmarks together.

This is an annual event that both our families and the nursing home residents anticipate! We look forward to going back next year!
