May 17 was a wet and cloudy day, but that didn’t stop a dedicated (and hardworking) group of DuFief students and parents from participating in the annual Spring Spruce-Up! Continuing a project some classes started on Earth Day, students cleaned up pieces of trash from the fields and school grounds. Volunteers divided perennials, pulled weeds, raked leaves and planted new flowers and bushes. Once the planting was finished, a truckload of mulch was spread to finish off the new look in the gardens near the main office. It’s beautiful! Special thanks to Stephanie and Pat DeStefano and Bruce Allentuck for all of their extra efforts to make this project a success! Thanks also to Allentuck Landscaping and McFall & Berry Landscaping for donating some of the plants and materials. Students and visitors to our school will enjoy the new look for years to come! |
