Coach Eric DaSilva praised the girls effort.
"For us to do something that hasn't been done in a generation, it's a big step," he said.
DaSilva predicted that next year, going to the state meet for Einstein cross country runners "will be much better because of the experience. You get hungry. You want to be successful. You're not just happy to be here."
He added that for the Titan boys team next year, "we want to be in the mix for a state title. We're making progress."
DaSilva noted that Einstein's cross country teams are dominated by underclassmen, with one senior on the boys team, and two on the girls team.
"We're still learning how to be good," he said. "To push and see how good we can be."

Titan Girls and Boys Qualify for November State Meet
From Coach Eric DaSilva:
Einstein's cross country team had one of its best showings in decades at the 3A West Regional Meet at Watkins Mill High School on Oct. 30, with both girls and boys teams qualifying for the upcoming state meet.
The state meet will be held Sat., Nov. 8 in Baltimore County, at Hereford High School in Parkton.
In last week's 3A West girls race, twins Yodit and Ariam Solomon led the Titan girls team to their first state qualification in over 20 years. The Titan girls had a fourth place finish out of nine teams on the 5K course.
In individual girls results, Yodit finished 12th and Ariam finished 15th out of 60 runners in qualifying for the state meet. Junior Sisi Reid had a 16th place finish and an individual qualification as well. Freshman Tracy Morales finished in 26th place and senior Sarah Hyman finished in 30th place to contribute to the Titans' scoring. Junior Xena Dreyfuss and senior Mary Claire Erskine rounded out finishers for the Titans on the difficult Watkins Mill course.
Senior Dawit Zewdie led the Titan boys to their second consecutive state appearance, with the boys team posting a fourth place finish out of 11 teams. Zewdie had a sixth place individual finish out of 73 runners. Freshman Alex Hevey continued his strong season with a 19th place finish, and both Zewdie and Hevey qualified as individuals for the state meet.
The Titans pack included junior Sam Rivers (finishing 22nd), sophomores Milo Johnson (23rd) and Andrew Ceruzzi (24th). Freshman Noah Tondari and sophomore Ziv Dreyfuss also will run Sunday at Hereford High School.
The Titans are excited by their successes and hope to end the season on a high note. With such young teams, they know their future holds promise, and they want to rebuild the Titans cross-country program to rival its heyday in the 1970s and 1980s.
