The blue cheese had such a pungent odor that a number of guests covered their noses when it was brought to the table.

 

The National Alumnae Association of Spellman College Southern Maryland Chapter is hosting the 17th Annual College Bus Tour for young ladies in grades    9th - 11th. The tour takes place Monday, April 2, 2018 through Friday, April 6th. The Bus Tour includes: Lodging, transportation, breakfast and lunch. You will have the opportunity to visit the following colleges: Virginia State University, Bennett, North Carolina, Clark Atlanta, Hampton, Norfolk State and many more. The cost is $499.00 For more information and details, see Mrs. Lehman in the Career Center, room 114.

 

Attention students:- we will begin PARCC and High School Assessment (HSA) testing next week, on Monday, January 8th.  The list of students who will participate in the January testing will be posted in the main hallway TOMORROW.  Not all students will test; only a selection of students are schedule to test in January.

Please make sure you find your name and your location if you are scheduled to test for either the Algebra, English 10 PARCC, Government and/or Science HSA.  If you have any questions about your status of testing, please see Dr. Awkard.

 

Einstein STAGE is back this weekend with the Student Directed One-Acts - - enjoy a full evening of shows directed by Einstein STAGE students - tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults, and are available at the door and through www.showtix4u.com  

 

ATTENTION SENIORS: the due date for senior dues has been extended to January 31st.  Senior dues are $50 and can be paid by cash or check to Mr. Nappo in Room 154.  After January 31st the price of senior dues will increase to $60, so pay them now before the deadline. 

 

Attention Class of 2021! We will be meeting every Wednesday during lunch in room 260. We will be discussing Freshmen spirit, fundraisers and general Freshmen related business. Please see Mr. Colwander for more details.

 

All Girls Who Code Members and those still interested in joining us, please meet Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Norris every Wednesday, after school from 2:45 - 4:15pm, and every Thursday for lunch and more in LAB 134!

 

All techies and gamers interested in coding competitions, game design, animations, original app designs, cybersecurity, and much more. Please meet Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Norris in LAB 134, every Thursday at lunch to explore and tap into other areas of tech, gaming, and programming.

Students this week we will continue our YMCA after school program. Board games, card games, and Xbox one games will be readily accessible. SNACKS WILL BE PROVIDED.!  Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 

 

French tutoring is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 28 during lunch.  French Honor Society members will be present to assist students.

 

The Spiritual Club wants to help you work on your soul and spirit and welcomes all belief systems, so please attend the meeting on Wednesday in room 150, from 2:40- 3:30pm.

 

There will be a meeting of THE CHRISTIAN CLUB, at lunch EVERY Friday in room 263.  All those interested in the relevance of Christianity are welcome to attend.
