The Local School and Community Planning Committee will complete the following objectives:
(1) Review the program and instructional plans, the MSDE regulation, the curriculum, instructional materials to be used in the program, and plan for program evaluation.
2) Announce the parent information meetings through the school's regular channels of communication with the parents and conduct meetings. This meeting is scheduled for October 29th, 2009.
(a) Inform the parents of the objectives of the unit, dates of instruction, and the names and qualifications of the teachers. Marcia Burlbaugh and Nan Martino, certified Health Educators. Dates of instruction- begins on November 30, 2009.
(b) Provide the opportunity for review of the instructional methods and materials to be used.
(c) Explain the rights of parental choice and the plans for safeguarding family privacy.
(3) Record minutes of the meeting.
(4) Help prepare an annual report for distribution to parents of children who may enroll in the program in subsequent years
