INTRODUCTION

Did you know that not all spiders are poisonous? Did you know that insects and spiders do not breathe through their mouths? Spiders and insects all belong to the same family called arthropods. But these two kinds of creatures are very different.

TASK

Dear Spider Spies and Insect Investigators,

Miss Tucceri really needs your help in learning more about arthropods.  It will be your task to help your teacher find information about spiders and insects. In this quest, you and your friends will become detectives to research different resources, answer questions, view some really cool pictures, and use what you know to help Miss Tucceri discover how insects and spiders are similar and different.

First, your task will be to search the Internet and electronic book to find interesting facts about spiders and insects.  Next, write down the new facts that you have learned about insects and spiders.  Record the similarities and differences on your Venn Diagram.  Finally, when we have completed our mission, we will share what we have learned about insects and spiders with our classmates.
