"...Gaithersburg High School (GHS) Principal Dr. Christine Handy-Collins and Athletic Director Jason Woodward hosted a ceremony for three GHS students who signed National Letters of Intent to attend major universities on athletic scholarships beginning in the fall of 2012.  The three students were:
Ellen Anderson, a swimmer who is very close to qualifying for the Olympic trials
Jackie Jackson and Colleen Marshall from GHS' 25-0 2010-11 4A State Championship basketball team.
  Ms. Anderson will attend Northwestern University, Ms. Jackson will attend Temple University, and Ms. Marshall will attend East Carolina University.  All three of the student-athletes spoke about their college choice and thanked the individuals who had helped them reach their goal of a major college scholarship."
