The
fourth graders have made some shocking discoveries in science
using batteries and circuits. Other units include rocks and
minerals and ecology. Within their yearly study of Maryland,
they have done Native American projects, learned about the
counties, and our national capital, Washington, D.C. The culminating
activity for Maryland history is the annual overnight trip
to historic St. Mary's City. In math, the students work on
equivalent and common fractions, decimals, measurement, problem
solving, and whole numbers.
