Grades K - 5 Mission Statements

Kindergarten: Lay the foundation for lifelong learning by providing a nurturing, all-inclusive, hands-on, enjoyable environment where families, staff, community and children work together to ensure the success of every student.

Grade 1: We will work as a team to meet the needs of our first grade students by communicating, sharing, respecting, and supporting each other.

Grade 2: O’The Places We’ll Go
We, the second grade team at GPES, believe that through cooperation, teamwork, respect, flexibility, and persistence, we can encourage students to recognize the balance between strong academic skills and exhibiting good character.
Our goals this year are to produce students who meet individual and school goals in all academic areas as well as school-wide programs that target character education.
As a team, we will achieve these goals by providing our students with quality, effective, differentiated instruction while giving them a positive, nurturing environment in which to learn.

Grade 3: We the third grade team at GPES believe that a positive environment can support our diverse learners. Our mission is to collaborate by sharing ideas, knowledge, skills, and expertise in a positive and caring atmosphere to inspire the third grade students.
As a team, we will stay connected by being honest, respectful, and encouraging to each other.

Grade 4: We, the 4th grade team, believe and value the following:
All children can learn through:
· respecting each other
· taking risks regularly
· working cooperatively
We will:
· inspire students to become independent workers
· value all learning styles
· provide one another with encouragement, compassion, respect, and honesty
· plan and problem solve cooperatively
J We will have a great year J

Grade 5: We, the 5th grade team, will work together, take care of each other, and share leadership in order to prepare students academically, emotionally, and socially so they will succeed.
