Garrett Park ES PTA:
The
PTA gives parents an opportunity to assist in their children's
education. The list of committees below illustrates the many
activities supported by PTA volunteers. If you wish to volunteer,
call any officer or committee chairman, or speak with you
child's teacher.
In addition to the committees and activities listed below,
the PTA also helps support school safety patrols, club registration
and transportation, and other ad hoc committees. It sponsors
a creative writing booklet, numerous cultural arts programs
throughout the year, and several educational programs for
parents.
PTA meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of the
month, but school closings and holidays affect the meeting
schedule. The time, date, and place of meetings are announced
in the PTA Newsletter. The Newsletter will be sent home in
the week before meetings so parents can be advised of the
upcoming agenda. All members are welcome to attend any meeting.
Items can be placed on the agenda by calling the president.
We look forward to your participation in PTA activities this
