Our Mission:

The Counseling Department at Hoover Middle School fosters school success by supporting academic, personal, and social development for all students to enable them to reach their full potential.  Services are provided to students in a variety of settings, including the classroom and individual and group counseling sessions.

The counselors at Hoover are available to discuss academic and/or personal concerns.  We place a high level of importance on maintaining confidentiality and work as a team with students, parents, and teachers to resolve any issues/conflicts.

Students can make arrangements to see their Guidance Counselor by stopping by the Counseling Office and speaking directly with the counselor or leaving their name with Mrs. Schultz.  Parents may set up an appointment by contacting their child’s counselor at 301-469-1015 or via e-mail.
