Author Visit -- Sheryl Barnes
On Tuesday, February 19, Cheryl Barnes, professional writer and illustrator visited our students. Mrs. Barnes is the author of Woodrow for President, Woodrow the White House Mouse, President Adams Alligator and Other White House Pets. Mrs. Barnes says her mission is "to interest children in good citizenship, government and the political process to help ensure the future of our democracy." During her visit, she read some excerpts from a few of her books and shared information with the students on how she does research on current and past presidents of the United States before writing her books.
