Jones Lane Elementary

Thursday, November 28th was our Math Night.  Math Night for the 2007-2008 school year was a huge success. There were about 400 people attending the event.  Parents and children had a wonderful, fun-filled evening. Thanks to twenty three teachers who designed and helped with all the fun activities.  There were Tax collector, Can you Match This, Let's Tessellate!, Tangram Tango, Sock It To Me, Odd Ball, Hang Ten, Magic Square, Tug of War, Math Central, Sudoku for Two, Ship Shape Bingo, and Measure Treasures.

Students were very excited by the 3 estimation jars in the hallways. One was how much candy was in the jar. Another was how many cups of water were in the container. And the third one was how many school supplies are in the container.  The winners were Cindy, Jack, Gabe, Katherine, and Dylan.
