Attention Parents of 2nd – 5th Graders:

Group piano lessons will again be offered this year, September 30, 2009 - May 20, 2010 (approximately) with a recital in June for students at Laytonsville Elementary School.

Mr. Jacob Opper, who is trained, certified, and supervised by Montgomery County Class Piano, Inc, will provide small group piano instruction. During group instruction, the children take turns and learn from each other. They MUST be able to sit still, follow directions, and work independently. Parents are responsible for their child’s supervision and safety before and after class and are expected to drop-off and pick-up on time at the classroom.

Practice at home is to be done on a piano or keyboard (preferably with four octaves and piano-size keys).  Please be sure your child wants to participate and will behave in this class as we cannot offer refunds if they decide to quit.

Tentative class days are Wednesdays 3:30-4:30pm, 4:30-5:30pm, 5:30-6:30pm, and Thursdays 8:00-9:00am, 3:30-4:30pm, 4:30-5:30pm and 5:30-6:30pm. Classes are determined by ability, age, and day preference where possible. Last year's tuition was $310 for the year; this year's tuition is subject to adjustment based on cost and number of students participating. The fee includes one-two music books, group instruction, and a recital. the FULL tuition is due at the first class lesson.
