Winter Concert

The fifth grade chorus will be performing at our Winter Concert on December 8th, 2009 at Luxmanor.  The concert begins at 6:30P.  Winter and seasonal music will be performed with a PTA meeting to follow.  Come out and listen, the kids have been practicing hard and they sound fantastic!

2010-2011 School Year Calendar Available Now

The Board of Education approved the calendar for the 2010–2011 school year. The school year will begin on Monday, August 30, 2010 and will end for students on Thursday, June 16, 2011.

Career Day at Luxmanor

Career Day was a huge success. Thank you to the speakers who graciously shared their careers and responsibilities with our students.  Special thanks to Dr. Difresco, Dr. Bassin, Mrs. Manchester, Mr. Perry, Dr. Steinberg, Mr. Leichsenring, Mrs. Donovan, Mr. Goldstein, Dr. Baker, Ms. Healy, Dr. Goldman, Captain Holloway, Mr. Krespan, Officer Prather, Mr. Dunford, Dr. Doring, ABC news Ms. Parker and Mrs. Stevenson!  We could not have had this wonderful program without these outstanding volunteers!

Homework Hotline

Homework Hotline Live! is back on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:00pm. This program provides K-12 students one-on-one homework help when they call the hotline number at 301-279-3234

Parent Academy Workshops

Parents can learn about school system programs, internet safety, homework and parenting strategies, how to monitor their child's grades with Edline and much more.  Register now for free Parent Academy Workshops

Learn About the Seven Keys to College Readiness

The pathway to college begins in kindergarten.  MCPS has identified Seven Keys that will open the door to college.  These Seven Keys will help students be ready for college success. Learn more about the Keys, view videos, get tips, and find resources at the Seven Keys website.
