sunMission Statement
The main purpose of a library media center in an MCPS elementary school is to support the curriculum. It is also equally important to provide an environment, which stimulates curiosity and encourages a life long quest for knowledge.

Family Literacy DayDo you like to read at home? Maybe you like to read with your parents, grandparents, brothers, or sisters. November 1st is Family Literacy Day. Click here for ideas to celebrate reading with your family.

Book Exchange
All Luxmanor students exchange books every week.

Kindergarten and first grade students may check out one book or magazine for one week at a time.

Second and third grade students may check out two books or one book and one magazine for two weeks at a time.

Fourth and fifth grade may check out three books or two books and one magazine for two weeks at a time.

Exceptions: You may not check out additional materials if you have an overdue book or magazine.
