Choose Success! The Middle School Magnet Consortium (MSMC) is made up of three schools -- Argyle, Loiederman, and Parkland middle schools -- each of which offers an innovative and challenging magnet curriculum. Argyle focuses on digital design and development; Loiederman offers a creative and performing arts focus; and Parkland provides students the opportunity to explore math and science through aerospace technology and robotic engineering.
Admission is based upon a Choice process open to all Montgomery County students who are currently in Grade 5. See Choice Process for details. Interested parents are invited to attend the Information Meeting and Open Houses in the fall to learn more about the three magnet schools.
In the fall, the MSMC will hold an evening information meeting and open houses for parents and their Grade 5 students. The information meeting will focus on information about the Choice process and the three MSMC schools and their specialty programs. Open houses will highlight the features of each school, beginning at 7 p.m., with a welcome and overview by the principal and other staff members. The schedule of the meeting and open houses is available by the above link and will be mailed to students and distributed by schools.
Students who choose
Parkland will specialize
in rigorous mathematics and science focused on the
problem-solving requirements of aerospace and robotic
engineering.
