8th Grade Clay Whistles

The whistles on display all look great, and they work too!  This is another example of a functional and sculptural project, where the assignment was to create a working whistle with the appearance of a flying, crawling, swimming or walking creature.  To work each whistle must be hollow, with a carefully crafted sound hole which allows the air blown into the whistle to vibrate over a thin edge, all made of clay.
