Participation Policy

Students are expected to participate fully in the assigned activities each day. Students must be properly dressed to participate in class activities.

Non-Participation :

Temporary one to three consecutive days: a note from the parents or guardians is necessary on the first day the student is to be excused.
Long Term three or more days: a written physician’s statement is required.
Permanently excused due to disability from class: a physician’s written statement is required.

Physical Education Uniforms

All students are required to have a complete change of clothing for Physical Education class. Also bring socks and athletic shoes. You may not participate in flip-flops!!!

Students may purchase the school’s Physical Education uniform if desired. Order forms were due September 11 th.

Students may bring in their own clothes to be used specifically for Physical Education class. Student who bring in their own clothing must bring in a gray or white t-shirt and blue or black shorts.Clothing worn to school may not be used for physical education class.

It is very important to make sure that your son/daughter takes home their P.E. clothes at least once a week to be laundered. Also, please send your children to P.E. with non-aerosol deodorant. Good Hygiene makes a stink free locker room.

Family Life and Human Sexuality/Disease Prevention Permission Forms for Health Education

All students are required to bring in a signed permission form before the start of the Family Life and Human Sexuality/Disease Prevention Unit. Student who do not return a a permission form or opt-out of instruction will be sent to the media center with an alternate graded assignment.

Please check out N.B.M.S. sports page for more information & required forms. STUDENTS MUST HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL ON FILE IN THE HEALTH ROOM PRIOR TO TRYING OUT for a sports team.
