* Congressman Chris Van Hollen's campaign office is looking for volunteers and interns. If you are a Teen Democrat interested in helping out the Democratic party including being involved with the Poolesville Day parade please see Mrs. Hicks today at lunch.
* The Midnight Players will have a general meeting this Friday from 3:15 to 5:00. Everyone who is interested in acting, mprove or tech is invited to come. There will be refreshments and time to get acquainted.
* All members of the National Honor Society are expected to attend a chapter meeting in the auditorium during lunch on Tuesday, September 9. See Ms. Wilder prior to the meeting if you cannot attend.
* The SGA would like to share some important information about Homecoming
* Starting September 8th Class officers and sponsors will be collecting class dues. Freshmen, and Sophomores must pay their class dues of $10 to be able to purchase a Homecoming ticket.
Juniors class dues will be $15.
* Freshmen and Sophomores will pay class dues & purchase Homecoming tickets in the falcon foyer. Juniors & Seniors will pay class dues & purchase Homecoming tickets outside of room 9.
Also, students must clear all financial obligations, including your planner money, with Mrs. Paoletti.
All class dues & financial obligations must be taken care of by Friday, September 12th.
* Students interested in bringing a guest that does not attend Poolesville High School to the Homecoming Dance must complete a guest form. Forms can be found in the Main Office. All forms must be approved by the administration. All forms must be turned in no later than Friday, September 12th. A ticket for your guest can not be purchased without an approved guest form.
* Homecoming Court nominations will be held at lunch on September 8th & 9th. Freshmen and Sophomores will nominate students for the Homecoming court in the falcon foyer. Juniors & Seniors will nominate students for Homecoming court outside of room 9.

* Juniors: Your yearbook portraits will be taken on Tuesday, September 9th during your English classes. Order forms will be given out in homeroom sometime this week.
* Sophomores and Freshmen: Your yearbook portraits will be taken on Wednesday, September 10th during your English classes. Order forms will be given out in homeroom sometime this week. Orders can also be done online--check the school website for information.
* Seniors: Your last and FINAL day to get your portrait taken in Monday evening, September 8th from 5-9pm in the auditorium. If you have not had your picture taken yet, you MUST get it done on the 8th. If you have an athletic event that evening, then you must schedule your own picture through Blanton Studios before October. Also, please pick up a senior yearbook packet outside of computer lab 12. The packet contains: Superlatives, senior portrait information, and important dates for you to remember.

* Attention all PHS Students: Did you head over seas with Ms. Dacek, Mr. Stanton, or your families this summer? Did you go to the beach or to an Amusement Park with your friends? The Yearbook wants your pictures of these special memories to put in the 2009 yearbook. Please drop off your pictures in Miss Loughney’s mailbox in the main office.

Students who will be inducted into the National Honor Society on September 3 must attend a rehearsal meeting at the beginning of lunch in the auditorium on Tuesday, September 2. Please bring your lunch with you. See Ms. Wilder in room 17 with any questions.
Auditions for the Midnight Players fall show will be held next week. For information about the show and how to audition, pick up an audition packet in the room just off the right side of the stage. All interested students are welcome to audition.

1st semester hours need to be turned in by January 16th.
Forms turned in after these dates will not be accepted!!!

Any students who park in front of the fire hydrants on Spurrier Avenue will have their car towed. Please do not park in front of the hydrants.
