New Construction at Poolesville High School |
| Poolesville High School is in the process of a Feasibility Study to supply needed science lab space and tech ed space for our students. The program is on the "fast track", with a hope of having the new addition available for the current 9th graders by the fall of their senior year. Initial studies are being conducted as to how Poolesville's current classroom space is being used, and what can be salvaged to supply the needs of the science labs and tech lab space. A balance is being sought between current needs and future modernization potential of the campus. The architect plans to have several options available at the end of the feasibility study (January 2007), based on staff, student, parent and community input. All interested parties are invited to attend the Feasibility Study Committee meetings, as well as Board of Education and County Council meetings to support funding for the project. |

On Tuesday, April 22 Ms. Levine, Mr. Curran, Ms. King and Ms. Bradshaw met with the architects of Grimm and Parker to review the 65% drawings of the new addition. In a time where budget cuts seem to be everywhere PHS new science wing is intact. |

Ms. Dresser, Ms. Gross and Ms. Bradshaw were present to see the unanimous vote of approval for the 7.8 million dollar science addition for PHS.
