A note from our principals:

Dear Ridgeview Parents and Families,

We understand that many of our families are currently dealing with a child who is ill, and are concerned about the work he or she is missing while absent.  We ask for patience and understanding in this unusual situation.  With the numbers of students as well as teachers who are ill or who are taking care of sick children or family members please know that everyone at Ridgeview is working very hard to fill requests for work and makeup assignments.  We appreciate your understanding as we work together to meet our students’ needs.

Due to the large amount of students absent at this time, we must extend the request time for teachers to provide the work.  Please start by checking Edline since many teachers are posting their assignments and other important information on Edline.  You can also contact your child’s teachers directly via email to make specific inquires of assignments.  Please keep in mind that teachers will get work to you as soon as possible but it could take a few days due to the sheer number of requests they are receiving.  We appreciate your understanding during this time and wish everyone a speedy recovery.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind our parents of the county policy for students returning to school after an illness. Students must be fever free without the use of medication for 24 hours before returning to school. This will help reduce the amount of illness passed around here at school. We also would like to remind students and staff to remember good practices for avoiding sickness such as hand washing and using antibacterial sanitizers.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to having everyone healthy and ROARING again soon!

Sincerely,

Dr. Carol Levine, Principal

Ms. Anika Browne, Assistant Principal

Ms. Erica Morse, Assistant Principal
