MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Shady Grove Students, Parents, and Guardians:

It's with pride and much enthusiasm that I introduce myself to you as the new Acting Principal of Shady Grove Middle School. My journey as an educator has been one of preparation and growth as I begin my 16th year within Montgomery County Public Schools. My experiences as Coach, Teacher at Argyle Middle School and Blake High School, as Teacher Specialist within the MCPS central office, and my administrative responsibilities at Roberto Clemente Middle School and Thomas S. Wootton High School have been magnificent.

I have been fortunate to be involved with communities and schools where principled parents, students, and staff work together to build a thriving environment for each other. I am again fortunate to be here at Shady Grove where these same principles of hard work, respect, passionate responsibility for self and others, positive and lasting relationships, and a rigorous instructional program are the norm.

When children are surrounded by good people who care about them, their well being and future, positive things can and do occur. So, as I have always done as a teacher, coach, and administrator, I invite you to come and see what we do every day here at Shady Grove Middle School. Timber wolf PRIDE is alive and well.
