FIRST GRADERS HARD AT WORK
The first grade students learned about the AGOPPE method of research during the second quarter. Ms. Milfort, Ms. Teeter, and Ms. Madan worked with Ms. Safford, the media specialist, to do research about the moon. Students made up questions, used books and websites, then dictated their answers to Ms. Safford. Each child contributed facts, and each child illustrated his or her own copy of a book that was written by the whole class. Here are a few sample pages from some of their books.
