- Sept News - We are off to another exciting start in the Media Center this school year! Some things are the same - Ms. Safford is still pushing books, kids are still loving reading - but some things have changed:
- There is a new face at the checkout desk. Stonegate's own Mrs. Poole has joined the Media Center Staff as the Media Assistant. She is enjoying checking out books and talking to the students about what they like to read.
- Our schedule has changed, and we now work on an A Week/B Week schedule. All classes visit the media center on A Week. On B Week classroom teachers collaborate with the Media Center staff to help students complete curricular activities and projects. We are already looking forward to research on government, patriotic symbols, plants, and author Patricia Polacco!
- We are experimenting with Before-School Checkout between 8:30 and 8:45. One of the patrols is going out front and into the All-Purpose room and out front to choose 10 students who need to exchange books. We hope that this will help those voracious readers who need to get books more than once a week!
- Reliable, child-friendly, safe online resources are available again this year for Stonegate students to use at home. Here's the list. Please contact Ms. Safford to get the logons and passwords.
