I began teaching in 1988 and taught at three MCPS schools and an international school in Yokohama, Japan.  This is my 9th year at Stonegate.  For 2 years I taught 5th grade, for four years I was the Staff Development Teacher, and this is my 3rd year as the counselor.  My husband, kids, and I enjoy taking family bike rides and hikes in the woods (especially if there is a creek or stream involved!) 

Ms. Padilla has a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from American University and an MS in School Guidance and Counseling from Johns Hopkins University.
