The Strawberry Knoll Parent Teacher Association joins in the mission of the National PTA:

	To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
	To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect children;
	To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of the nation.

Parent involvement is critical to a successful school because it:

	Has direct impact on school’s academic performance
	Enables parents to learn more about the school and get to know the staff
	Encourages the entire community to take ownership of the school
	Fosters the students’ sense of security and support

During the coming school year, we’ll be asking for input from parents, teachers and students regarding the need for additional after school and/or extracurricular programs and academic support programs. This may be in the form of surveys, PTA meetings, the SKES website, brief opinion polls or other means, but please know that we want to hear from you about how we can improve our school in any way.
