What Am I? by Pavan R.

I can be as red as blood or as green as spring's grasses.

Yet I can sound like a footstep crushing solid frozen snow
When a part of me vanishes.

Myriad black, three dimensional
Spots are within me.
I also have a petite tail on top of me.

Answer: Apple

What Am I? by Rebecca H.

I'm a ghost morning, evening, and night.
I howl when I want.
And can have the force of dynamite. Nothing can stop me, nothing at all.
I can be tall and small.
I am everywhere. I can be fast or slow. You can go anywhere you please,
but you'll never escape my cool breeze.

Answer: Wind

Riddle by Chloe N.

I live with the creatures that do not breathe air
I am rooted to the earth
I follow the flow and swing round and round
I bloom in the spring, a colorful flower
I resemble a teacup on a plate
What am I?

Answer: Lily pad

May by Lynn D.

In the morning,
I open the door.
I smell lovely flowers,
I make some flower bouquets,
purple, blue, pink, orange and yellow.

I close my eyes,
It maybe is dark
But I hear insects and water,
Gi, gi, gi    shii, shii
When I open my eyes,
I see grass, flowers and trees.

July by Julianne W.

Oh July
Don't pass me by
I see good times everywhere.
Children playing,
People saying everything they like to do.

Oh July,
Don't pass me by,
Hear the leaves dance on a cool summer breeze.
Listen to the fireworks in midair,
listen to the waves crash without a care.

Oh July
Don't pass me by,
Taste the apples from a tree.
Watermelons you can taste,
So juicy you eat them with haste.

Oh July,
Don't pass me by,
Smell things that you like.
Flowers, honey, barbecue,
You'll hope you're not allergic to.

Oh July,
Don't pass me by,
Feel the sun shining down.
Cool breezes in the air,
These feelings are so very rare.

A Small World by Mario A.

A small speck of sand becomes so hot,
And in that warmth there lies some glass.
But in that glass lies the ocean.
And in that ocean there is a song,
And in that song there is a sound,
The sound that makes the world go round.
And in that world lies a child
But that child is filled with tears,
But those tears fall in glass,
In that glass lies that speck of sand.

Egg
by David N.

Within an egg there lies a chicken,
Within a chicken there lies fried chicken,
Within fried chicken there lays KFC
Within KFC there is a lot of cholesterol,
And in the cholesterol there lies medicine.
And in the medicine there lies no KFC
Within KFC there lies fried chicken
Within fried chicken lies chicken
Within the chicken lies an egg.

The Book
by Kayla M.

Within the pages there lies pages
Within the pages there are words
Within the words, becomes a fantasy
In the fantasy there lies a castle
Inside the castle there waits a princess
Within the princess she kisses a toad
Within the toad there lies a prince
Within the prince there lies a ring
Within the ring there lies a stone
Within the stone it sits upon grass
And by the grass there flows a river
Within the river there sits a boy
And by the boy there waits a book.

ABC Poems

An A-Z Poem of Me by Andrew D.

Andrew is my name
But people call me Drew
Caffeine is the best thing a drink can have
"Don't do that" is what I hear the most
Elephants are my second favorite animal
Fishing is my hobby
"Good boy" is something I never hear
Halloween is my favorite series of movies
I have broken two bones
Joe is the name I wish I had
Kangaroos are my favorite animal
Lost is something I am a lot
Money's something I'm running out of
National Security is a bad movie
Obstacles are my life
Pelvis bone hurts when you break it
Queer is another name for me
Resting is no option
Sleeping is what I hate
Tough is something I am
Unstoppable at NFL Street
Valentine's Day is a holiday I hate
Weird is my other name
X-ray is something I've had twice
You must think I'm weird
Zack is a name I'm glad I don't have.

Patriots by Handson W.

A team I like are the Patriots because they are ready to
Boom out of the stadium
Coming out of their locker room
During the Super Bowl, which they won two of them
Extraordinarily winning against other teams
Flying footballs soaring over the
Green field
Hopping through defending tacklers
Indestructible when facing opponents
Jumping fans are cheering
Kicking the ball over the goalpost
Loud yells when scoring
More touchdowns to go!
Now they are running through the field
On a ninety nine yard return, bursting with speed
Passing here and there
Quick and fast at
Running
Smith is their running back
Touchdowns are not surprising when they get some
Unstoppable team
Vinateri their kicker is the best
Wow! A long field goal
Xample of a great team
Yelling for the patriots to score while they
Zigzag through the field.

A Boy Like Me by Matt J.

A boy like me likes playing
baseball and eating
cheese pizza.
Days when it rains outside
Eric, his brother, plays with him and my
feathered friends.
Getting to
Help do things
I like to do.
Jet is his parakeet's name
Knows almost every type of parrot,
such as the Rainbow Lorikeet or the
Molucan cockatoo.
Never will he
open the
parakeet's door.
Queue lines are built when he plays
Roller Coaster Tycoon.
Seregal's are my favorite
type of parrot.
Underestimates the power of his
vicious parrot.
Wishes that he could own an
extraordinary macaw.
Yellow
ZuPreem pellets his parrot eats.

A Girl Like Me by Erin N.

A girl like me
Becomes older every year
Caring for my friends and family I love
Dixie my Aussie puppy a lot, but
Every year I grow older
Flowing up from 9 to 10
Going to 11
How I'll get there
I'll never know but by
Judging my future I can predict that
Kayla and Mags will stay my best friends and
Loving to shop with them
Might always be my
Number
One hobby, though
People will laugh when I am funny
Quiet is not an option because I love
Running around the house, but
Sometimes I do stop for a Coke and
Times I think about sixteen,
   oh sweet sixteen, driving
Under the roof of my pink Jeep but for now
Victor Litz will teach me
When I play my electric guitar and
X-rays will come and go throughout the
Years but loving the
Zoo because of monkeys will never change.

A Girl Like Me, From A-Z by Julianna B.

A girl like me gets attached to a
Brother as
Caring and big as
Daniel.
Everyone says "The
Future is Now!" but I just
Go ahead and relax.
Hello to new people
I'll just sit down and talk. A
Jester my friends call me.
Kindly I smile at awful remarks,
Later I'll turn around and
Mouth off at them, but
Now I'm too
Old to do that.
Please just let me tattle on big old Daniel
Quaint little me won't get caught.
Restlessness and silliness overpower my
Seriousness by far.
Tomboy am I (that is
Until I'm 14)
Very imaginative and a
Writer to be.
Extremely smart and
Yet I still act stupid
Zome time (you see!)
