Medical Careers is a career development and science-credited program that offers students unique medical learning opportunities. The program’s broad-based exploration of the health field enables students to make informed career decisions. During the first semester, students learn anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and disease processes, and perform patient care skills including CPR. During the second semester, students put their knowledge and skills into practice at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and Montgomery Village Health Care. Students gain hands-on experience using skills they learned during the first semester. A lab fee may be required. Medical Careers is articulated with Montgomery College.
