Q: What is Edline?
A: Edline is a way for you to check your child's grades online. (more)
Q: How do I access Edline?
A: You need to activate your account. Activation codes were given out at back to
school night and have been mailed home. Your child was also given their own activation
code in early September. Once you have your activation code visit the following

Q: I have not received my Edline Activation code - How do I go about getting this
code?
A: Send Daryl Schultz @mcpsmd.org an
email with your child's full name and their mcps ID number.
Q: I am nervous about activating my account. Do you have something that will help
me through the process?

Q: I had a child or children in a middle school (and no longer have
a child or children at the middle school level) that used Edline
last year, can I keep the same
login?
A: No. You will need to create a new account. It is possible
that you may be able to enter the same login/password that you
had last year but it may report that that information is already
in use.
Q: I now have one or more children at WM and one or more children
in a middle school that uses Edline, can I have one login for all
of those students?
A: Yes. When you take the activation code that we provide you will choose Combined
Account. You will then enter your existing screen name and password.
When you login you will be able to access all your children.
Q: I have activated my account. Do I need to keep the activation code?
A: No! You may recycle the activation paper - you will now access Edline using
the screen name and password you created during the activation process.
Q: I have forgotten my screen name and or password, what should I do?
A: First try the link at Edline that will send your information to the email address
that your provided during the activation process. If that does not work or you
did not provide an email address you will need to send an email to Daryl_ Schultz @mcpsmd.orgwith
your child's full name and their mcps ID number stating that your forgot your
password.
Q: How often will grades be updated?
A: Every Two weeks. If you feel a teacher has not updated within the last two weeks
please send them a gentle email reminder. It may be a technical glitch and not
the fault of the teacher.
Q: My Child's schedule is incorrect. When will this be fixed?
A: We are always waiting for the county to send us another updated schedule
file. We hope to have the corrections made soon. In the meantime have your child
see me in E201 during STEP. Have them bring their schedule card.
