Service Project for Student Club
“The Lord’s Table Soup Kitchen in Gaithersburg serves meals to homeless and needy people from September through June. We are looking for some additional teams of volunteers to join our dedicated volunteer staff for 2007. Starting in September teams are needed for two times – the 3rd Friday of each month and the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3:15 to 5:00 PM. Teams of minimum 5 people and maximum 8 people are needed to help serve a hot meal and clean the tables. This is a great project for a group of students with an adult leader. Individual volunteers may not sign up for this assignment and students without an adult leader can not be accepted. Smiles and a positive attitude are required! Adult team leaders contact Mary Canapary at mcanapary@verizon.net or (301) 869-7609.”
