November 2009

The art department has been busy this first marking period with all of our talented Wayside artists!

Kindergarteners have been learning about lines, shapes, and Mondrian. First graders created their very own Matisse cut-outs. Second graders made "All About Me" books and are now making beautiful symetrical butterflies.

Third graders became architects as they each designed a Victorian house. They also made self portraits in the style of Picasso. Fourth graders made relief sculptures in the style of Frank Stella and aquariums that truly look 3 dimensional. Fifth graders made foil bas relief that are being proudly displayed and can't be missed! They are currently working hard creating their Rousseau jungle paintings.
