     Coed Cross Country is in its fourth year in MCPS middle schools. Cross Country is a great opportunity for students to participate in an extracurricular activity and promote immediate and lifelong health and fitness habits.  Students are not required to try-out and any student who is eligible and has the required paperwork will be able to join the team. 

      Practices begin Tuesday, September 15th after school until 4pm.  Paperwork (all forms) must be in before you can practice.  Activity buses will be provided.

Requirements

All 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in joining the Julius West Coed Cross Country Team, there will not be try-outs.  Any eligible student may join the team.  However, most meets will only allow 10 boys and 10 girls to compete.  The season will consist of 19 practices and 4 meets.  The maximum distance would be 1.5 mile or 2500 meters run.
