4/1/09 MCPS Educational Foundation has partnered with county senators and delegates to identify students for legislative scholarships (Districts 15, 18, and 20). These are need-based scholarships for students who plan to attend Montgomery College. Application packets are available in the CIC.
4/2/09 NOWC Scholarship Program: The Naval Officers' Wives" Club of Washington, DC will award several scholarships to graduating seniors. They are 100% merit based and must be applied only to tuition. The applicant must be a dependent of an active duty, retired or deceased U.S. Navy service member who: resides and serves in a command within the boundaries of Naval District Washington or had served in it. 4/15/09 Joseph Fox Jr. Memorial Scholarship awards scholarships of $2000 to Maryland seniors who plan to major in reading or a reading-related field and pursue coursework that will prepare him/her for a teaching career. Applications are available in the CIC.

4/17/09 Beat the Odds - Children Defense Fund will select five high school JUNIORS in the D.C. area who have overcome tremendous odds to become personally and academically successful. They will be awarded a $5,000 to $10,000 scholarship. Obstacles could be, but are not limited to, poverty, disability, homelessness or abuse. Applications are available in the CIC.
