Directions for completing “It’s Time” from the .PDF files
A .PDF file may be opened with Acrobat Reader. Reader is a free program available from www.acrobat.com for both Windows and Apple based machines. The file is interactive and may be filled in on your computer. The completed form may be printed to your home printer but the completed form cannot be saved to your hard disk unless you own the full version of Acrobat. The full version of Acrobat is available on all Whitman computers.
Tips for completing the form with Reader:
Start with the pages that are easily completed. The College Self-Evaluation Form is in it’s own separate document (see It’s Time Interactive Packet, last bullet below). Clicking within fields allows text to be entered and/or check marks to appear. The tab key may be used to navigate between fields on each page. Print each page twice, one for your counselor and one for your records, as page(s) are finished. Be sure to print only the page or pages completed and not the entire file. PLEASE NOTE: QUESTION 6 –WHEN YOU HAVE RUN OUT OF ROOM FOR TEXT ON FIRST LINE, TAB TO SECOND LINE TO COMPLETE YOUR ANSWER, IT WILL NOT SCROLL AS IT DOES ON THE LARGER TEXT BLOCKS.
Work on longer essays and longer questions in a word processing program. These questions may be sent to your computer’s notepad or clipboard using the “cut” or “copy” command from the word processing program, then “paste” into Reader. Print the completed page(s) twice. If you do not have enough space within the text block for a question, essay or resume, attach a continuation page document prepared in a word processing program to the completed College Self-Evaluation Form.
Do not forget to have a parent complete the Parent Statement, the last page of the It’s Time Interactive Packet, and sign the Release of Records form. If you have any questions, contact the Career Information Center.
