The News Literacy Project, a national program started by a Whtiman parent, has been working with government and English classes in our school this year. The project creates partnerships with seasoned journalists and middle and high school teachers to give students the critical thinking skills to sort fact from fiction in the digital age. The project has recently produced a video showcasing exemplary work done by students in AP government classes at Whitman last spring.
