Republican Club

Club Description

The twin Wills stand in front of the loyal six members, four of whom are officers, ranting and raving about the social issues of the day. The strong beliefs of the President, Mr. Wright are expressed through pounding on desks, throwing chalk and screaming at the top of his lungs. If you want to express your political view or opinons concerning alternative humidors, come to room 224 any Wednesday at lunch. It does not matter what party you support or if you support a party at all (because we don't really care). Stop in for a good political debate and chalk dodging.

Comments and Quotes from Officers

"The main point of our club is to encourage rhetoric and lively discussion. Because of this, all people no matter what their political affiliation may be, are invited. In fact just the other day we had some free-thinking liberal hippies come to voice their views on SUV emissions. Luckily with the support of our members we were able to convincingly express our view that in America we can 'drive the biggest cars we want to.' (William Wright)" -Vice President William White.

Club History

The Republican Club was founded in 1998 by Eric Rhoades, who graduated in 1999. It was abandoned after the departure of Mr. Rhoades and reformed by Mr. Wright. The original purpose of the club was to combat the raging liberalism of the newly formed Democratic Club (founded by Mr. Rhoades's political rival, Mike Morse, which was also abandoned). This seems to be the current purpose of the new Democratic Club which is failing miserably. Surprise, surprise.
