Summer Math and Reading

Wood Acres students have several opportunities to develop their reading and math skills during Summer Break.  Skills Tutor practice activities will be available for both subjects.  In addition to the reading assignments on Skills Tutor, student may also participate in the Montgomery County Public Libraries' Summer Reading Program.

Skills Tutor

This program is designed to give students immediate feedback as they complete each assigned section.  Practicing concepts on the Skills Tutor website will help students be prepared for success in the new school year.

Students will need their school user name (an 8-digit number), password, and site code to log on to Skills Tutor.  This information was sent home in the report card packet.  If you no longer have the log on information, contact the Main Office for a reminder.

To access Skills Tutor, log on to www.myskillstutor.com

There will be nothing from Skills Tutor to submit to next years' teachers.  Teachers will automatically have access to each of their students' data from the summer.

Summer Reading 2009:  Be Creative!
In conjunction with the Montgomery County Department of Public Libraries

Below you will find the Wood Acres optional summer reading program.  It is a great way to keep your children excited about reading all summer long.  Just print out the files and read away!  If your child completes the reading packet, please have him or her bring it to school the first week.
