Beans, Let's Watch Them Grow!

Friday October 7, 2005 - Day 1  

We will plant seeds. We will plant beans and mystery seeds. We will plant them both in soil. We will water the soil that has the bean below. We will put them in the sun.

Monday October 17, 2005 - Day 10 

We planted bean seeds in dry soil.  We did not water the seeds on Friday. This morning, we saw a bean just coming out of the dry soil.  How did that happen? We will give water to the first sprout, because we want to care for it, so it won't die.

Thursday October 27, 2005 - Day 20 

Look at the bean plants. They are growing. We gave them all water. The first bean plant to sprout is the tallest, and it's growing leaves. Some new sprouts are curved and they have white roots. They all grow at different times.

Thursday Dec 1, 2005 - Day 54

The plants are leaning towards the sun. They are tall and green. The plants are all different heights. They all have different sizes of leaves. They all have leaves. They are branching. We do not see a flower yet, nor beans.

Tuesday Dec 20, 2005 - Day 73

The Bean Plants

"I saw a dead flower ", said Sarah. Some plants have brown leaves. These plants are bent and look dead. Some plants have grown taller.  Some leaves look very little and some look big. Some students saw that buds had sprouted.
