The Montgomery County Board of Education’s (Board) 2025 Legislative Platform offers a hopeful vision for positive change, ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed. This platform focuses on shared goals and priorities that foster opportunities, celebrate different paths to success, and guarantee all students can learn in safe schools.
“The Board’s 2025 Legislative Priorities represent the challenges and opportunities we experience in MCPS,” said Karla Silvestre, President of the Montgomery County Board of Education. “These priorities can significantly empower districts to further their mission to provide excellent education and learning experiences for every student.”
Grounded in the Board’s mission and purpose, and in alignment with Montgomery County Public Schools’ Strategic Plan, the Legislative Platform emphasizes the shared responsibility of championing student interests and needs.
