All MCPS students and their families are invited to kick off the new school year at the Back-to-School Jam. The event is a wonderful opportunity for families to learn about the school system and county programs and services, while enjoying family-friendly activities, entertainment, a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic and more*.
Safety: (UPDATED) In an effort to make our 2021 Back-To-School Jam as safe as possible most presenters and activities will now be outside (under cover) at the Westfield Wheaton "Streetery" and adjacent covered parking areas. Attendees of the Back-To-School Jam must wear a mask in all indoor public spaces and mask-wearing is strongly encouraged in outdoor spaces. Masks in public indoor spaces are required by local government mandate that began on 08/07/2021. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available onsite.

MCPS will offer free shuttles to the event from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and leaving the event from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. from the following MCPS high schools: Gaithersburg, Montgomery Blair, Paint Branch, Richard Montgomery and Seneca Valley.
