Interim Instructional Services

Interim Instructional Services (Home and Hosptial Teaching) in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is a short-term service designed to meet the needs of students enrolled in Grades K through 12 who are unable to participate in their MCPS school of enrollment due to a physical or emotional condition for reasons set forth in Maryland law.  Instruction provided to students eligible for IIS follows the same protocols that are in place at the schools for the 2024-2025 school year.  Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will be accepted from August 19, 2024 through May 30, 2025.

Regulations

Parents should meet with the school to discuss the reasons their child cannot attend school prior to submitting the application for Interim Instructional Services to the school.  The school provides the current appropriate application.
