Exponential and logistic models of population growth and medication dosing are used to emphasize the importance of decision making in regards to using resources and taking medicines effectively. Health care and long-term health care are analyzed so that students may make the best decisions on what kinds of care are affordable. Finally, weighted averages help students understand grade point averages and combining various types of quantities into new quantities.
