Promoting a Positive Culture

MCPS is dedicated to promoting a positive culture in our schools, on our athletic teams and in our community. The following are some resources compiled for the numerous stakeholders committed to providing our students with a safe, positive environment to learn, grow and progress in.

On-line Athletic Registration

  • The myMCPS Parent Portal is NOW OPEN FOR WINTER SPORTS REGISTRATION!! Be sure to get your student-athlete registered prior to Friday, November 15th, the first day of winter sports.

Sports Spotlight

  • MCPS Golf Championships take place Monday, October 14, 2019. The County Scramble Championship Flight (top 12 qualifying teams), takes place at Rattlewood Golf Course. The County Scramble First Flight (the next 13 qualifying teams), takes place at Poolesville Golf Course. Both events start at 3 pm. 
  • The MCPS Cross Country Championship Meet takes place Saturday, October 19, 2019, on the Gaithersburg HS/Bohrer Park course, starting at 10 am. Admission is $5 for all attendees 7 and older. Come support our cross country all-stars!
  • The 32nd annual MCPS Cheerleading Championship Competition takes place Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Montgomery Blair High School. Click here to view division start times and order of performance. Tickets are $5 and it's highly recommended that you purchase pre-sale tickets from your local high school cheerleaders.  

Sports Insight

Check out "Sports Insight" on MCPSTV, a web and TV series about the MCPS high school and middle school athletics program.The monthly program provides a behind the scenes look at MCPS athletics, while highlighting student-athletes, teachers, coaches and support staff, covering a variety of topics like sportsmanship and community involvement.
