Can a supervisor authorize bereavement leave in excess of what is provided for in any of the MCPS negotiated agreements with MCEA, MCAASP or SEIU Local 500? No, only the Leave Administration team in the Employee and Retiree Service Center (ERSC) can authorize additional bereavement leave. Can an employee use bereavement leave for the death of a neighbor?
