Transcript and Replacement Diploma Requests
Montgomery County Public Schools alumni in need of a transcript or a replacement diploma have three options for obtaining the document(s):
Option 1 - Pick up at the Central Records Office
The Central Records office is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. to walk-in customers.
Customers need to complete the Student Record Request Form 226-8, show a photo identification, and pay the document fee at the time of request. Transcripts will be issued on the day of request. Replacement diplomas take 6 - 8 weeks for delivery.

Option 2 - Request through the mail
Complete Section A of the Student Record Request Form 226-8.
The form requires an original signature (electronic signatures not accepted).
On the record request form, please check the box for either transcript or diploma.
Send completed form, a self-addressed stamped envelope with the address for which the transcript should be mailed, and document fee to:

Requested transcripts will be mailed to the designated address within 1-2 business days from receipt.Replacement diplomas take 6-8 weeks for delivery.
Option 3 - Request online
Complete Section A of the Student Record Request Form 226-8.
The form requires an original signature (electronic signatures not accepted).
On the record request form, please check the box for either transcript or diploma.
If a payment has been made online, please provide the receipt number directly on the record request form. *See payment instructions below.
If you require the transcript to be sent directly to an employer or a school, please clearly indicate that on the form. The address portion in Section A is for the student’s address only.
If the form is handwritten please ensure that it is legible.
Scan and email the completed form to: CentralRecords@mcpsmd.org.
Select the item to order
Select quantity and click “Add to Cart” (you can add additional items by clicking on the document link above)
Review the “What’s in Your Cart” page and when completed click “Continue”
On the next screen you can login or register for a SchoolCash Online account or Continue as Guest.
Enter payment information and click “Continue”
Complete the Purchaser Information and click “Continue.”
Review your order and click “Complete Your Order” to finalize the process.
A confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided. Please add that confirmation number to your student record request form.
Please note:
Central Records does not provide notary or certification services that may be required for transcripts or diplomas sent overseas. If an Apostille certification is required, please visit this website for more information:

We do not email transcripts. Transcripts are sent out via the United States Postal Service to the address listed on the form unless otherwise specified.
Replacement diplomas can take up to 8 weeks for processing. Diplomas will be mailed to the address listed on the form unless otherwise specified.
School transcripts are available for purchase.
