CTBS/CAT Results 2003: Grades 4 & 6

Description:

Systemwide results of the spring 2003 administration of the TerraNova Comprehensive Tests of Basic Skills (CTBS) in Grade 4 and the TerraNova California Achievement Tests (CAT) in Grade 6 continue to be well above the national average. Grade 4 students showed a seven-point increase in mathematics and a nine-point increase in mathematics computation, while maintaining last year's results by scoring at or above the 67th national percentile in reading, language, and language mechanics. The increases in mathematics placed students at the 78th national percentile in mathematics and at the 80th national percentile in mathematics computation.
