Schools at a Glance provides, in a single document, information about enrollment, staffing, facilities, programs, outcome measures, and personnel costs for each school. Personnel costs include position salaries for professional and supporting services employees and employee benefits costs related to positions. Summaries are also included for the county and by level.
The Gallup student poll is a survey of students in grades 5 through 12 that measures hope, engagement and well-being — actionable targets linked to student achievement, retention and future employment. Employee engagement also was measured by a survey developed jointly by Gallup and MCPS. An employee's level of engagement links to various school outcomes, including employee retention, parent engagement, student retention, and student achievement.
The School Environment Surveys include the Parent Engagement Survey. The Parent Engagement Survey is about MCPS parents' experiences with our students' school and education.

MSDE website that provides Maryland School Assessment (MSA) and High School Assessment (HSA) highlights, as well as information about School Progress, Annual Measurable Objectives (AMOs), demographic, enrollment, attendance data, and other supporting facts. For 2014, information about the School Progress Index (SPI) is limited due to the field testing of the College and Career Ready Assessment developed by the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC).
Common Core of Data (CCD) is a program of the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics that annually collects fiscal and non-fiscal data about all public schools, public school districts and state education agencies in the United States. The data are supplied by state education agency officials and include information that describes schools and school districts, including name, address, and phone number; descriptive information about students and staff, including demographics; and fiscal data, including revenues and current expenditures.

Independent website that provides test scores, rankings, school and district boundaries, student/teacher ratios, ethnic makeup, and scores of other useful metrics and information for over 120,000 elementary, middle, and high schools in the United States.
The goal of the ED Data Inventory is to describe all data reported to the Department of Education, with the exception of personnel and administrative data. It includes data collected as part of grant activities, along with statistical data collected to allow publication of valuable statistics about the state of education in this country. The ED Data Inventory includes descriptive information about each data collection, along with information on the specific data elements in individual collections.
ED Data Express is a Web site designed to improve the public's ability to access and explore high-value state-level education data collected by the U.S. Department of Education. The site is designed to be interactive and to present the data in a clear, easy-to-use manner, with options to download information into Excel or manipulate the data within the Web site. The site currently includes data from EDFacts, Consolidated State Performance Reports (CSPR), State Accountability Workbooks, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP), the College Board, and the Department's Budget Service office. The U.S. Department of Education [ED] conducts the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC), formerly the Elementary and Secondary School Survey (E&S Survey), to collect data on key education and civil rights issues in our nation's public schools. The CRDC collects a variety of information including, student enrollment and educational programs and services, disaggregated by race/ethnicity, sex, limited English proficiency and disability. The CRDC is a longstanding and important aspect of the ED Office for Civil Right's overall strategy for administering and enforcing the civil rights statutes for which it is responsible. Information collected by the CRDC is also used by other ED offices as well as policymakers and researchers outside of ED.

ICPSR advances and expands social and behavioral research, acting as a global leader in data stewardship and providing rich data resources and responsive educational opportunities for present and future generations. ICPSR maintains a data archive of more than 500,000 files of research in the social sciences. It hosts 16 specialized collections of data in education, aging, criminal justice, substance abuse, terrorism, and other fields.
