Each school year, the Maryland General Assembly (MGA) hosts Student Pages to serve two nonconsecutive weeks working in person in Annapolis. Pages will serve their first week in the first seven weeks of the thirteen-week legislative session (January to April) and the other in the last six weeks.

Page’s schedule will revolve around the chamber to which the Page is assigned on their first day of paging. Pages must be present whenever their chamber (House or Senate) is in session to perform their duties, which include distributing materials on the floor, running errands, assisting visitors, and delivering messages or materials to the members. After each day’s session, Pages may be assigned additional work or meet with various guest speakers scheduled by the Page Coordinator. They will not work in any Senator's or Delegate's office.
The MGA Page Office arranges lodging for all Pages. Pages stay in homes within walking or short driving distance of the State House, and the Page Program pays the cost of housing directly to the housing providers. In addition, Pages receive a meal voucher worth approximately $50.00 per day worked to use at local restaurants to cover meals for the week.
