MCPS Summer Rise Celebration
This summer, over 1,000 rising juniors and seniors completed the Summer RISE program where they participated in engaging hands-on career based learning experiences in an industry of choice. On July 25th, over 1,200 people attended the closing ceremony to celebrate the success of this year’s program.
Students completed a minimum of 50 hours with their host organization and were rewarded with a $475 dollar stipend as well as a certificate of completion. This year’s Senior class will be the first class EVER to receive a chord to wear during graduation highlighting their participation in the program.
